MALE VOICE: You've been in a lot of criminal trials. You've also been in a few civil trials as well. What's your call on this?
TERRY YATES: We're going to vigorously fight these charges. They are not guilty of any criminal wrongdoing whatsoever.
ANNOUNCER: 11 news at 5:00.
TERRY YATES: Well, I think this--these two grand juries have made a mockery of the criminal justice system. That's what I think.
MALE VOICE: And this is a trial that Houstonians love to follow and talk about.
FEMALE VOICE: Yeah, and with us this morning to do just that is criminal defense attorney Terry Yates. Welcome. Thank you so much for coming in.
MALE VOICE: Not so says Justice Medina's attorney. He says it's the jurors with the agenda. And for speaking publicly, he wants those jurors held in contempt of court.
TERRY YATES: What they learn in there under the color of law, they can't go out and talk about it.
MALE VOICE: Precedent--anything like this ever happen before in the U.S. or in Texas?
TERRY YATES: Oh, no. This is the largest transference of children in American jurisprudence history.
He has an ax to grind with every conservative Republican.
MALE VOICE: Thank you for your expertise and weighing in on this.
